What is your opinion of politics today?

The arena of politics has lost its focus and purpose. Politicians are self-motivated and using the arena of politics for profit, rather than progress. It is their responsibility, as elected officials, to represent the people and work with the residents and businesses towards the common good of all people, with whom they serve. There is such a difference watching the game from the sidelines and actually, being a player in the game. I have learned a lot more about politics going through this process. People will say and do whatever it takes to obtain a position. The ugly side of politics is there to let you know what “not to do” or “become” in the area of service. There are people who really want to serve and there are others who just seek to serve themselves.
